Here’s an update on the Humble Pie story …
Not only did Alanna respond quickly on the issue, but she had assured me it would be corrected … and it was! I checked the site last week with the same search parameters and the map was perfect!
The company that maintains that part of the site, Current Marketing, saw the story when it appeared on the Open Source CU website and just posted an entry on their blog to explain what had caused the problem and what it took to resolve it.
Moral of the story – speak up. Yes, you may get a “there, there dear” response from some companies, but others will sincerely take your concern and effect change.
