Nana and OG were here for the weekend to dote on my lovely little boy – and dote they did! He was in 7th Heaven with all the attention! For Mum’s birthday, we went out for Mexican food – it was delicious! We’re still not good at remembering to take food for Nicholas when we go out, so we fed him some guacamole – he loved it. Before too long, he’ll be able to share everything we’re eating.
We’ve known for a while that our guest bed was not the most comfy – it’s a pull-out couch and has had lots of use over the years. Either the mattress or springs are giving out – we’re not sure exactly, but it’s definitely not like sleeping on feathers. So, we made a trip to IKEA and found just what we’ve been looking for – the Beddinge sofa-bed. It was given rave reviews by the “raging grannies”!
On Saturday morning, I went to the Clothing Co-op put on by the Northside Foursquare Church and walked away with a garbage bag full of (free!) clothes for Nicholas (and a few tops for me, too). They were sorry that I didn’t take more, but I really didn’t need any more than I had. In fact, now I think we have too many clothes for the boy! Maybe that’s the downside to buying used clothes – you spend less on each bundle of clothes, so you buy more bundles. Silly mummy!
